What? A team based Bingo with extra challenges, held on Discord. Low minimum requirements, all fanwork types welcome.

Where? On the SteveTony Games Discord server.

When? July 8th 1 p.m. UTC (9 a.m. EDT/3 p.m. CEST/11 p.m. AEST) – August 5th 1 p.m. UTC

Who? Everyone 18+ that wants to join.

Changes from last year:

  • This year's theme is: Let’s Do The Time Warp – Past, Present, Future.
  • Each player's point cap is now on a per week AND team basis (i.e. you can get to cap for week 1 for Team Future and still get points for week 1 works submitted to Team Past).
  • This year, we are introducing missions. The old team achievements fall under this heading, as will new ones.

Full rules:

By participating in this event, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

At 1 p.m. UTC on July 8th, we will post a bingo card on the SteveTony Games Discord server. From then until the end of the games, you can create fanworks for each of the prompts.

Every type of fanwork is accepted as a fill, including fic, art, podfic, edits, vids, playlists, and reclists. You can find the minimum requirements for each work type further below.

Points: Each team's goal is to collectively achieve the most points possible. The scoring is as follows:

  • Each bingo fill counts for 1 point for the chosen team. Each work can only count towards one square.
  • Challenges: Every Saturday at 1 p.m. UTC, a set of five new challenges will be posted to the server. The point values vary and will be listed with each challenge description. Full points for each challenge can only be earned during the designated week. Each work can only count for one challenge.
  • Missions: Teams will earn points for collectively achieving certain goals (previously known as Team Achievements). These will be listed in the Discord server.
  • Individual Achievements: Individual participants can also earn points distinct from challenge and team points. These points are optional and do not count towards an individual’s weekly point cap, nor are they counted towards the team’s total. The individual achievements need to be submitted separately using the form linked in the server in order to be counted.

Example:
An art piece for the square “Rock’n’Roll” (1 point: base fill value) also fulfills a challenge, e.g. “Utilizing Silhouettes” (worth 5 points in this example). This makes the fill worth the maximum of 6 points.

Point Cap: Each person can earn up to 30 points per week per team. Regarding collaborations, once one person has reached their point cap for the week, they can no longer earn points from collabs for themselves. However, the remaining members of the collab who have not reached their point cap can still earn points.

Amnesty: If you submit a work that fulfills a previous week’s challenge, it is considered an amnesty submission and the challenge is only worth half its original point value. The work counts towards the point cap of the week during which the work was submitted, and not the original week of the challenge. This means that once a week is over, you cannot retroactively reach its point cap.

Work Requirements:
Previously existing works will not count for points unless explicitly stated otherwise in a challenge; works must be created after the games begin. All works have to be publicaly posted, i.e. accessible for everyone through the submitted link. Please be respectful towards your fellow creators and mods, and don’t create works with the intention to immediately delete them after the games are over.

  • Fic must be at least 100 words.
  • Art can be a sketch, but the characters/actions must be identifiable.
  • Podfic must be of at least 100 words or one minute long.
  • Vids must be at least 10 seconds long.
  • Reclists must contain at least five items, each with a minimum of one sentence describing why it’s recced. The reclist must contain at least one work that has not been created for the SteveTony Games.
  • Playlists must consist of at least 10 songs.
  • Edits can consist of any manipulation of the original image. Moodboards must consist of at least 9 images.

Work Posting and Submission:
To earn your points, you must fill out the finish line form. If you fail to do that, you won't earn points. You can find the form linked in the server. If more than one person contributed significantly to a work, then each person can earn points for that work as long as the work fulfills the minimum requirement times the number of people that worked on the same work.

You may post fills on the platform of your choice, but we have an AO3 collection for each team here. And if you tag us ([community profile] stevetonygames) on Tumblr or Twitter, we’ll reblog/retweet your fill. Don’t forget to mention the team you are creating for!

The games end on August 5th at 1 p.m. UTC. All works need to be submitted via the finish line form before that in order to be eligible for points.

Be respectful of each other – we will tolerate no shaming for any reason, including and especially relating to the nature of anyone's genre or content preferences. Canon or AU, fluff or angst, all are equally valid, and enjoying dark and angsty Dead Dove-style content is every bit as accepted and supported as enjoying fluffy works in which Steve and Tony have a loving discussion about the print of their curtains.

If you have questions, you can comment on the post, ask in the server or email us at stevetonygames{at}gmail.com.
